Easter Egg Hunt in the Victorian Walled Garden at Kylemore Abbey this Easter Sunday, 8th April from 12:00 to 16:00.
The fairytale castle of Kylemore Abbey is set to be the scene of an eggciting Easter egg hunt this Easter Sunday.
Staff at the world famous Abbey are eagerly anticipating the arrival of the Easter Bunny and lots of chocolately treats. The Easter bunny is inviting children to the visit the magical 6 acre Victorian Walled Garden at Kylemore Abbey and take part in a quiz and other fun tasks amongst the vegetables and flowers to earn their Easter treat.
Children can walk along the tree lined avenue from the Abbey to walled garden where they will discover an interactive children's play trail along their way. The play trail was cleverly designed and made by the furniture students in the nearby furniture college of GMIT Letterfrack. Some of the play pieces include musical instruments and miniature tables and chairs for children, perfect for picnics!
The Victorian walled garden is a magical place for children to discover. There are flowers, vegetables, nutteries, glass houses and restored garden boys and head gardener houses waiting to be explored behind the high brick walls of this hidden Connemara garden.
